These twin babies are believed to be youngest Hurricane Helene victims

Twin babies Khyzier and Khazmir Williams are believed to be the youngest victims of Hurricane Helene. The five-week-old boys, along with their mother, Kobe Williams, died when a tree crashed through their mobile home in Thomson, Georgia.

“Nobody was taking the storm seriously,” said Mary Jones, the boys’ grandmother. As the hurricane hit, the family stayed awake through the night. Jones fed Khyzier at 5:15 a.m., while Kobe remained too scared to sleep. Shortly after, a tree fell through Kobe’s bedroom, killing her and the twins as she tried to protect them.Hurricane Helene has claimed over 230 lives across six states, making it the deadliest storm since Katrina in 2005. Residents are now bracing for Hurricane Milton.
