In the midst of his grief, the young man thanked the puppy for all of the times they spent together, and she, of course, told him how much she loved him and how much he meant to him. He stated in this regard:

“Thank you, papa, thank you.” I’ve been in love with you since you moved in… I know you loved me as well.”
