In today’s world, where many people focus on themselves, even small acts of kindness can seem special. It feels good to help someone you know or even do something small for a stranger.
Here are some stories that show there are still kind people who care about others.
The Stories:
- My friend and I were walking home late at night when some guys in a car offered us a ride. At first, it seemed fine, but then one of the guys got out and started pulling my friend into their car. I asked him to stop, but he didn’t listen. A passing car stopped, and a man got out and asked if we needed help. We definitely did. He walked up to the guy holding my friend, said something to him, and the guy let her go. The man then drove us home while we were crying, and he tried to calm us down.
- Another time, I was at a gas station and accidentally locked my keys in my car. It was really cold, and I was only wearing a T-shirt. The gas station was just a small booth, so I couldn’t stay warm inside. A random guy came up to me and asked if I needed help. I said yes, but my grandma wouldn’t be able to come for another hour. So, he gave me his sweatshirt to keep warm. That sweatshirt became one of my favorites, reminding me of his random kindness.
- One hot day in May, I was on a crowded bus with all the windows closed. I was standing next to a young man, and we were looking at each other. Then, I noticed the music in my earbuds went quiet, and I realized I couldn’t hear the bus engine anymore. I looked at the guy, and the last thing I saw was the fear on his face as darkness surrounded him. I don’t remember what happened next because I fainted, but the guy caught me as I fell. He put me in a seat, someone gave me a bottle of water, and another person waved at me to help me breathe better. Two people even called a taxi for me. Everyone was so kind.
