A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by churches challenging a Trump-era policy that allows immigration arrests near churches. Judge Dabney Friedrich ruled the churches lacked legal standing, saying claims like lower attendance were too speculative. The policy had reversed Biden-era limits on enforcement near sensitive locations. While churches blamed the policy for empty pews, the judge said broader immigration actions could be responsible. A Maryland judge, however, blocked similar actions near religious sites. In Boston, tensions rose after an ICE agent was held in contempt for making an arrest during trial proceedings.Watch:
