Former President Donald Trump tore into Vice President Kamala Harris and her gaffe where she confused North and South Korea.
The president had a rally in Michigan on Saturday where he mocked Harris saying the United States had an alliance with North Korea when she meant to say South Korea.
“I think that was one of the worst mistakes of all,” the former president said. “Can you imagine? They’re standing on the border, North Korea’s over therEe shooting off missiles as she’s speaking.’
“They’re shooting off missiles and she’s saying about ‘North Korea’s out ally and our friend,” he said. “And when I heard it, I said, ‘Oh this is sort of just a – she didn’t mean that.’”
He said someone from the vice president’s staff should have gone to her as she was speaking to correct her, even as he said he would have been furious if someone did that to him.
‘In that one, however, I would be very happy to receive their advice, because that’s one of the worst I’ve ever seen,” he said.
She gave a speech at the Korean Demilitarized Zone on Thursday where she bragged about the “important relationship” between the United States and “North Korea” when she meant to say South Korea.
“The United States shares a very important relationship, which is an alliance with the Republic of North Korea,” she said. “And it is an alliance that is strong and enduring.”
She was brutally mocked for the mistake on Twitter.
